Missouri and Arizona are the places to which the two persons winning the joint bonanza of $587.5 million belong to. Heartiest congrats for the winners and best of luck for the remaining people who had also purchased the tickets. This is perhaps the highest win in the lottery tickets history and Thursday morning enriched the holders of the winning tickets immensely with a joint win of $587.5 million through Powerball’s highest jackpot. Their ticket numbers are completely in line with the ones that were declared as the winning ones on Wednesday night’s raffle. The previous jackpot of $656 million through the Mega Millions jackpot was declared in March and this is the subsequent biggest prize that has seen the two guys hitting all the six digits in a correct manner and now they would share the total amount of $587.5 million. Both of them could expect $293.75 million each and after deduction of Uncle Sam’s share their home-take net income could come more than $150 million, a big buck indeed.
The state authorities are still awaiting the information about the exact winners who have bagged the prize. It is better to keep the information as secret as possible till the amounts are claimed by the winners because of the suspected attacks. In fact, lot of persons buy the tickets with the hope to hit the jackpot, say more than 1,30,000 people per minute. A small store in Dearborn near Kansas City had sold the winning ticket, say the officials of the Missouri’s state lottery commission. However, till now nobody has put claim as the winner perhaps due to media’s rush for reporting the winner’s name and write big stories about the huge prize. Missouri Lottery’s executive director, May Scheve Reardon has appealed to all the ticket purchasers from the concerned convenience store to match their numbers with the winning one. Reardon asked the lucky winners to sign the ticket on the back, retain it safely till the time it is presented to the Missouri Lottery office for settlement of the huge win.
