David Jung, the chief executive officer of Hero had revealed in December that the Merge Gaming Network would be abandoned by their poker site and their players would be shifted to another Merge skin when they were pondering over their next course of action. Departure from the Hero Poker by Terence Chan, the pro player came through his declaration on Friday via his website with his assertion that his move did not have any direct link to the future of Hero Poker as per his own observation. The huge amount of €770k was bagged by Remi Castaignon of France, the privileged second person from his state who laid his hands on the main event of the 2013 European Poker Tour Deauville and brought grace to his nation. Castaignon, the agent in the insurance sector was there to conquer the aggressive 782 field after a hard struggle of six days at the Casino Barriere. There was Habib who fell behind Castaignon’s pair of 3’s through his own K-8 out of the three Lebanese players at the finishing table manned by eight players. The final table at the event witnessed the remaining players win in the following sequence - €275k by Robert Romeo, €215k by Enrico Rudelitz, €165k going to Franck Kalfon, €125k by Joseph El Khoury,  Noel Gaens satisfied with €87.8k and Jeffrey Hakim walking away with €60k.

The highest prize of €313k at the High Roller Event in Deauville was bagged by Vojtech Ruzicka who beat all the eighty five entrants contesting for the €10.3k buy-in competition. Timothy Reilly was there who gave a tough fight at the event, stood next to Ruzicka and had to be satisfied with the €180k prize on the third day. His jacks lost to the straight of Ruzicka.

Alexandre Reard made €105.7k at the concluding table while the others ended up as follows - €83.2k to Martin Jacobson, €64.1k by Bryn Kenney, €47.5k won by Steven Silverman, €38k bagged by Jonathan Duhamel and Alain Goldberg ending up with just €28.5k in the last. The Landmark Hotel would host the forthcoming famous EPT London that takes place from tenth of Mar.


Seventeenth of April this year is the first day out of the three starting ones when the £200 + £25 buy-in takes place in Stratford at the Aspers Casino with the addition of an extra Day 1 at the BoylePoker International Poker Open London. The live poker contest of Salsberg the previous year included the win of the World Poker Tour Rendez-Vous a Paris major event with the 70th position finishing place at the 2011 WSOP main event whereas it came up with the sixth rank at the latest WPT Borgata Winter Open. Salsberg is the ex-producer cum writer of Weeds on the Showtime TV series with the scrumptious Mary-Louise Parker. Salsberg, after his engagement in the eight THC-laden seasons in the above series is now laying focus on his new project with an eye on the poker world.
