Filing of application by Penn National and apology by Everett mayor over Wynn land treaty remarks

The casino plans of Penn National Gaming were authorized following their proclamation of the passing on of the not reusable fees worth $250,000 and $400,000 to City of Springfield and Commonwealth of Massachusetts respectively.

Tim Wilmott, the president and COO of Penn National proclaimed filing of their application in a press release. He stated that the application fee was demanded by the two entities i.e. Commonwealth of Massachusetts and City of Springfield and they are happy to pay it. He added that they are sure their plan of casino development in the north end of Springfield is better than any other proposal in Western Massachusetts.

And it is the hottest move by Penn National in its endeavors to attain the only casino license in Western Massachusetts. To construct a project worth $807 million on a land measuring 13.4 acres is being projected by the casino resort company in the north end of Springfield. Penn National is foreseeing expansion of an inclusive financial plan as a part of their project which will consist of casino resort trademarked with Hollywood in addition to other things.

Penn National will have to face an identical opponent named MGM Resorts which is also contesting for the Western Massachusetts license. The anger and hatred between the two companies can be evaluated by the arguments they had with each other during the outrageously classy Maryland gambling expansion bill.

It is noteworthy that this project will be considerable constructive for the region. Penn National is working in association with the Chief Executive Officer of Springfield named Peter Picknelly, which is located in Peter Pan Bus Line for the development of fresh casino resort on 13.4 acres of land possessed in the north end of Springfield. And at present they are going to contest for a fresh happening, which they are optimistic to win.

Rectifying his remarks, he stated that according to his comprehension, negotiations are still going on for the project and there is some sort of preliminary rejection for the location.
